Four paper envelopes written ‘please do not bend’ in red ink are placed on a round table. When the viewer flips it over, the backside of the envelope shows a thin paper with printed patterns. Inside, there’s a slightly heavy silver metal plate with engraved drawings of the pattern.

The patterns are found from the toilet papers, which speaks eco-friendliness and cleanness. Drawings on toilet papers are one of the many easily discarded products. I wanted to preserve them permanently by transferring them onto a metal plate. While keeping them safe inside an envelope written ‘do not bend’, I imagined the possibility where I’m dead and the artwork still survives in second-hand market, travelling places, and being found in a far future where people no longer use the same toilet papers and same drawings.
