Sandy (Hyosun) Kim (born in South Korea) is an artist based in London, UK.

Her artwork steams from encounters that alter each other, leaving traces of each others behind. Through the intimacy coming from a tactile experience of touching and feeling the clay body, her work focuses on the surface of the artwork, where the boundaries between the observer and the observed meet and exchange their role.
By bringing out innate bodily experiences, Sandy(Hyosun) questions what has been embodied in a body and revisits them. Her main questions are what is a feminine body and how to revisit what body remembers.

Other than working with ceramics, performance and drawing as her main medium, Sandy likes to write poetry in Korean and English, do henna drawing on people’s body, read tarot cards and astrology charts occasionally.
